Turned it on and tried the installation again and it worked?!?!?! Got the dell mini to transfer all the files from my usb .Then started windows from my usb using disk 1 partition 3 option. BIOS may not recognize devices if they are not plugged-in. Now magically when I almost gave up..my cd worked...all I have to say to people experiencing the same prob is that keep trying or get another cs rom and attach it Apparently on my netbook, U was the drive for the usb. Making the install FIND the CD at this point in the installation seems to be the trick.Your milage may vary, but pounding on the CD player just might work, too!Good luck. Use the Install Software configuration to uninstall the patch first (using a pre-installation script) and then install SP3. Shift+F10 to DOS.
